Creating a positive impact for people and planet.
Environment
8.9
Since 2022 we have partnered with Ecologi and began balancing our emissions from international campaign flights. In 2023 we increased our tree planting efforts through gifting and award giving. We are a paper free company, working from an office that uses 100% renewable energy and we provide reusable water bottles and shopping bags for all our team, we also offset emissions from all international campaigns.
Workers
37.2
We value each team member as an individual and prioritise wellness. Our tailored benefits allow everyone to meet their unique needs. Each team member has a wellness budget for activities that support mental, emotional, or physical health. We offer regular wellness check-ins and provide mental health training for line managers. Additional benefits include coaching, mindfulness programs, healthcare cover & flexible hours.
Governance
21.9
As well as looking after Mother Earth; looking after our staff and ensuring a good internal ecosystem is another focus and continuous work in progress. Starting from day 1 we want all our employees to begin on their journey of development & progression, this starts with our 30-60-90 induction process. All our policies and procedures are meaningful and reviewed annually to ensure we are up to date and catering to the needs of our team and times.
Community
28.2
Supporting and contributing to our local community is a longstanding tradition of redpill. In the past 12 months we have partnered with Stepney City Farm in funding school group visits and taken part in a volunteering day on the farm. We provide all staff with one day a year to take part in a volunteering activity. Caring for our team is also a big part of our culture, we offer flexi hours, work from anywhere time and enhanced parental pay & leave.
Our Progress
The B Corp assessment process was intensive yet insightful, focusing on key pillars: our team, suppliers, environmental impact, community, and customers. We've driven change in these areas by partnering with B Corp to improve and benchmark our standards.
For the past few years, we’ve worked to transform agency life from within, prioritising local and independent suppliers for team lunches and providing reusable water bottles and shopping bags. Every business decision is carefully considered, as every change matters, no matter how small.
To neutralise carbon emissions from international flights for all international campaigns, we implement effective offsetting through our Ecologi partnership. Our key initiatives include: Encouraging lower carbon transportation options for team outings and purchases, annual sustainability training for all employees, leading by example in Environmental Stewardship, considering environmental factors in procurement via Purchasing & Supplier Guidelines, reviewing and reporting on environmental performance annually, reducing single-use plastics by providing reusable bags and water bottles and transitioning to a paper-free environment for all documents.
We were all feeling the post pandemic effects on our mental health, employee wellness began to become a key priority as we transitioned from a full remote set up to a hybrid way of working. To support our staff we invested in mental wellbeing support as well as a mindfulness subscription for the team and explored each other's local areas for suitable team socials.
In 2022 we established redpill’s Wellness Initiative. This consists of wellness check ins and time and budget allocation for personal wellness activities were offered. We developed our training & development initiative and incorporated, budgets and study days to support staff to embark upon their own professional development. Independent financial advice was added to redpill’s benefits offering. We began looking at and making conscious choices when selecting and working with our suppliers.
We began offsetting carbon emissions from international flights through tree planting, thanks to our partnership with Ecologi. To enhance training and coaching, we introduced a leadership development program for line managers. We're also expanding our Wellness Initiative with psychologist-led team training and establishing our inaugural annual team volunteering day in collaboration with Surfers Against Sewage for a beach cleanup. Additionally, we are hosting wellness-themed team socials, such as sound baths and gallery visits. To further support employee and company growth, we appointed a Head of People. We are also increasing our contributions to climate projects through tree gifting. Feeling a connection to the B Corp movement, we decided to embark on our B Corp journey alongside our sustainable office relocation.
We are expanding our wellness initiative offerings to include personal coaching programs. Flexible hours have been introduced within our hybrid working week. Our benefits package now includes healthcare coverage, enhanced maternity and paternity leave, and improved pay. We have also become a member of the IMTB. All our line managers have received mental health training to support both their own wellbeing and that of their teams. Additionally, we partnered with Stepney City Farm to assist with their community school group outings and participated in a team-wide volunteering day. Our wellness-themed social events and away days continue, as they have proven to be more inclusive and fulfilling based on team feedback
